Miami is increasingly showing signs that a return to normalcy is in sight. On Monday April 12th, Miami’s midnight curfew initialed one year ago, will finally be lifted. As you know, Sizzle Miami is a little over 6 weeks away, and although it appears the United States is turning a curb in the right direction, many of the key mandates imposed on the city in its fight against the pandemic remains in effect.
While lifting the curfew will allow businesses (including nightclubs) to return to their pre-COVID operating hour, the City’s mandate on reduce capacity and its social distancing measures are however still in effect. Additionally, unknown still is when those measures would be relaxed or eliminated. In Miami and on South Beach, the majority of the nightclubs have been closed since early last year, and since that time, many have gone out of business. For those that are able to return to their regular hours next week, entering into contracts with businesses such as ours are still on hold because of the uncertainties during the Memorial Day Weekend.
As a result, we’re left with no choice but to look ahead and plan for a bigger, better Sizzle Miami next Memorial Day Weekend of 2022. We certainly appreciate the interest and support, and we look forward to hosting you next year.
